Gideon's 2008 Convention: 100 years of sharing God's word (2)

Before we left Louisville, we participated at the Pastor's banquet in honor to pastors in the city.
From Left: Josephine Senyoni(Rwanda); Grace Mbugua (Kenya) and Nellyce Vilengo (Malawi).
We were happy to be with our friends John and Karen Blair. I had met John in Rwanda prior to this convention on one of his trips to East Africa Region.

As the auxiliaries (wives of Gideons) had their meetings, Jo enjoyed times together with people from our Region six.
The kids had fun, as they went out to the Museum and played with friends...

The Pastors' banquet was well prepared, and this is no small deal to host above 2000 people in one hall! We got an article from USA Today newspaper that spoke about Rwanda. There was a lot of interest to understand and the article was good. Christian got to share a Gideon's testimony in one of the sessions. We are so grateful to God for this opportunity to share with the rest of the world, the same passion for the word of truth. Dr. Lutzer from Moody Church shared the message at the bible hour, which for us became the highlight of the sessions. It was great to feel the sense of bible knowledge tradition applied to the today's world challenges of different contexts. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
