Ugandan Abp and Grand Ma visit

Summer at last! Seeing briefly the Angl Bishop of Uganda was a surprise! He also got to pray for me! He had travelled to one of his parishes in West Chicago, IL before his trip to Jerusalem. He was with a young man, he was mentoring, and he told me that reconciliation in Rwanda was also a matter that was on his heart.

What a joy for receiving Granny here! she had travelled all the way from Brussels, Belgium to see us, especially Kevine Mahoro who had just seen her for the first time. We had a great time and are so thankful to the Lord that she could come and visit. Two weeks was too little time, she still misses us, and we miss her too.

It has been a while that we have not blogged, so much has happened, so much prayer, growth... We are enjoying West Chicago, we find it very calm and quiet especially when it is time for our prayer walks. We have had great friends at the crossroad church as well as our Anglican connection here, the church of the rez. They are both deligthful to be with as we share the word of God, our concerns, our lives... God is with us!
While here, Christian has been volunteeing with World Relief, in a program of refugees. I got to know some of the refugee families and hang out with them as we share about what God has done in our lives. God has been so good to us indeed. We will give thanks always. Jo's teacher will soon be off to the middle east...
Pray for the rest of the summer and the writing project that Christian has. Blessings to all of you!
