Midwest Anglican Awakening

We were fortunate to be part of a service that brought together many Anglican Churches that have decided to cling to the true word of God. It was a wonderful atmosphere seeing many brothers and sisters from around the world, especially the church in Nigeria whom many believers had flown in to join in this celebration. Almost with tears, the congregation sang together in a high voice and followed a commonly know liturgy led by The Rev. William Beasley. All dressed up in white robes for the procession, we were joined by the Archbishop Akiola of Nigeria who has been voted the most influencial person in the world. Amazing huh! He was gracious in his sermon and very direct about the power of the message of Jesus Christ! This message is meant to change us! Unity comes when people are committed to getting to know God's word to humanity. We cannot give what we do not have. I enjoyed the whole service and found the message very encouraging especially for the Anglican communion in these times. The African brothers sang in their way and I joined in while they took a second thanksgiving offering that were going to children projects in Rwanda.
Life in wheaton is busy right now and we get little time to see around. JP has started to pick up some english and Jo will be starting her english lessons very soon, we hope.
May God bless you for you prayers, May He use you as his instruments...
